The Coastal Carolina football team has enjoyed a swift ascent since the program moved up from FCS to FBS in 2017. Over the last two seasons, the Chanticleers have won 21 games and earned bowl berths each year. Ironically, CCU has received a bid to the Cure Bowl in Orlando, Florida each season with Liberty pulling out a 37-34 overtime victory last December in Coastal’s first ever bowl appearance.
On Wednesday, CCU head coach Jamey Chadwell joined SportsTalk to look forward to this year’s matchup with Northern Illinois in the Cure Bowl on December 17th. Chadwell also discussed some of the major issues in college football including, the transfer portal, early signing period, the CFP, and him cutting off his highly popular mullet hairstyle.
