The USC men’s basketball team has been remodeled from last year’s six-win team. Only five scholarship players return, and of those only two, Keyshawn Bryant and Jermaine Couisnard, were major contributors. Frank Martin had to retool his roster going into his tenth season, so he attacked the Transfer Portal with zest, bringing in six players from other Division One programs, along with three high school recruits.
The Gamecocks play their exhibition game against Benedict next Thursday, and they will open the regular season at home against Upstate on November 9th. Wednesday night, Martin joined us on SportsTalk to preview the season.
