The Clemson Tigers pulled another one out of the fire on Friday as they improved to 4-2 overall and 3-1 in the ACC with a 17-14 win at Syracuse. Once again the Tigers sputtered with the football, generating just 314 yards of total offense with only 116 coming on the ground. However, as has been the case thus far, Clemson’s smothering defense was there to preserve the win.
On Sunday, head coach Dabo Swinney held his weekly teleconference with the media to recap the win over the Orange and to start looking ahead to this week’s road trip to Pittsburgh. Swinney said it was great to win on the road, especially against a division opponent. Adding it is, “frustrating to see us struggle offensively and miss so many opportunities.” But he noted, “at the end of the day, it’s all about winning.”
