DT Jamari Lyons (6-4 277) Of Melbourne, FL committed to Florida over USC. Lyons took his official visit to Florida in June, and he made multiple unofficial visits to Gainesville. He was long viewed as a Gator lean, but the Gamecocks gave him some things to ponder. He took his official visit to USC for the Kentucky weekend. He developed a strong relationship with defensive line coach Jimmy Lindsey, but at the end the pull of the home-state university was too much for the Gamecocks to overcome.
Clemson TE target Josh Sapp, who visited Clemson Saturday, and who has been on hold for an offer pending the Oscar Delp announcement, tweeted this week he has some big news coming soon. He did not elaborate.
