USC is in the top 12 with 2023 DT Joel Starlings of Richmond. The others are Florida State, Michigan, Michigan State, Oregon, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Georgia, Texas A&M, Penn State and Ole Miss. He made an unofficial visit to USC in early June.
TE Jalen Skinner, a native of Greer but now at IMG Academy in Florida, has moved up his commitment announcement to this Friday at 3:30. He plans for the announcement to be carried by CBS Sports HQ. He’s had a final five of Clemson, Alabama, Florida State, Miami and Texas.
WR Kaleb Webb of Powder Springs, GA, who has been committed to East Carolina, visited USC Saturday. He has an offer from the Gamecocks. He was at East Carolina for the USC game, and he plans to visit Tennessee this Saturday when the Gamecocks will, again, be the opponent.
2023 SAF Brandon Cisse of Lakewood made an unofficial visit to USC Saturday for the Troy game.
QB Pro Franklin of Greenville visited North Carolina A&T Saturday and will take an official visit to Fordham this weekend. He also plans to return to USC for a third game visit this season for the Florida game.
2023 OT Joshua Miller of Richmond made an unofficial visit to Clemson Saturday for the Boston College game.
2023 SAF Caleb Downs (6-0 185) of Hoschton, GA visited Clemson Saturday for the Boston College game. His brother is a receiver at North Carolina and the Tar Heels also are strongly involved. Alabama, Florida State and Notre Dame are some other offers. Last season he had 57 tackles, 14 pass break ups and 4 interceptions.
2024 RB Sammy Brown (6-1 205) of Jefferson, GA visited Clemson Saturday. He also camped at Clemson last summer. His early offers include USC, Georgia, Tennessee and Georgia Tech.
2024 WR Mazeo Bennett (6-0 165) of Greenville High was offered by USC Saturday while in for a visit. He’s also visited Coastal Carolina and Appalachian State.
USC offered 2024 SAF Ellis Robinson IV (6-0 175) of New Rochelle, NY. Florida State, Michigan, Arizona and Georgia are some other early offers.
Clemson target WR Andre Greene Jr. of Richmond visited North Carolina Saturday.
SAF Xavier Nwankpa of Altoona, IA, who had Clemson on his previous short list, named a top 3 of Notre Dame, Iowa and Ohio State.
