Storm clouds gathered all around the Clemson football program this week after the loss to NC State, but the Tigers weathered the storm against Boston College Saturday night at Death Valley. The Tigers survived injuries, poor offensive execution at critical times and a late Eagles’ drive for a 19-13 victory that extended their nation’s longest home winning streak to thirty-one games.

Eagles quarterback Dennis Grosel drove his team down the field in the final in the final 1:48 with no timeouts. He completed five straight passes to moved his team from their own 36 to the Clemson 11. Buy rushing to get the snap off against the play clock, Grosel fumbled the ball and Tiger defensive end KJ Henry recovered it with 49 seconds to play. With that, the Tigers secured their 11th straight win over BC and improved to 3-2 going into their bye week.
