South Carolina football is continuing its preparations for Saturday’s home game against SEC East rival Kentucky at 7pm on ESPN2. The Gamecocks are coming off their first loss of the season at Georgia. Meanwhile, while the Wildcats are unbeaten (3-0), but had to fight to stay that way last week in a 28-23 win over UT-Chattanooga.

On Wednesday, offensive coordinator Marcus Satterfield and defensive coordinator Clayton White held their weekly presser to update each side of the football going into Saturday. White noted that Kentucky’s offensive line is going to present a major challenge up front saying, “it’s a tough group to go against, not only because of their size, just their mentality and who they want to be as a football program.”

Meantime, Satterfield appeared to somewhat be in awe when reflecting on the performance Luke Doty turned in against Georgia considering the lack of practice time he had prior to the game. “If you would have told me Saturday night that he would have played period, or had that many plays, I would have looked at you funny. It was an amazing feat that he went out there and did what he did.”
