USC QB Luke Doty says he’s “working his tail off” to be ready by this weekend’s game at East Carolina (USC Athletics)

USC football is preparing for its first road game of the season at East Carolina on Saturday. Quarterback Luke Doty is hoping to be in uniform and perhaps on the field when the Gamecocks meet the Pirates at “High Noon” on ESPN2.

On Tuesday, Doty, along with several of his teammates, met with the media to discuss the upcoming challenge in Greenville, NC. When asked about his health, the Myrtle Beach product said, “I feel like I’m pretty close. I did a lot of stuff today in practice and it felt good, so it’s definitely been a good recovery.” Doty added that he still has some work to do on his rehab but, “I’m definitely getting there and feeling good about it.”

Hear what Doty, RB MarShawn Lloyd, LB Brad Johnson, and OL Dylan Wonnum had to say during their media availability below.
