#Clemson down, Coastal up in the two major polls released Tuesday

The AP and Coaches rankings were released Tuesday afternoon, two days later than normal due to the extended weekend of games thru last night. Clemson’s loss dinged the Tigers in both rankings, dropping them from #2 to #6 in both polls. Coastal Carolina, with its win over The Citadel, was a big climber in the AP poll moving from 24th to 17th. The Chants are ranked 19th by the coaches.

Alabama received 59 of the 63 first place votes by the writers and is ranked #1. Georgia received 4 first place votes and is #2. Ohio State, Oklahoma and Texas A&M round out the top five.
