The “Palmetto Pigskin Tour” pulled into Due West on Wednesday to check on the newest football program in our state, Erskine College. Prior to this past spring, Erskine football lay dormant for 70 years as the school pulled the plug on the sport in 1951.
Upon its revival, the team recorded its first win on February 27th with a 30-28 victory over Barton College. The Flying Fleet will crank up the new fall campaign on September 4th at Catawba College.
