Clemson football returned to the Jervey Meadows practice field on Friday morning in preparation for tomorrow’s scrimmage at Memorial Stadium. But it was the return of wide receiver Justyn Ross that grabbed the headlines from the workout.
Ross missed all of last season after undergoing spinal surgery and he expressed that it was far from clear initially whether he would ever return to football. So it was big news this past week when Ross was cleared to practice with the Tigers.
Clemson’s medical staff actually cleared him in June, but Ross said he had a few more legal hoops to jump through afterwards. He detailed his return to the field with the media following Friday’s practice.
The Tigers will hold their first scrimmage of preseason camp on Saturday morning at 10:25am.
