USC football coach Shane Beamer Friday unveiled plans for his first pre-season camp with the Gamecocks. All practices will be closed to the public and media, thought the media will be allowed in on certain days to watch stretching and the first few periods. And due to continuing concerns about the Corona Virus, there will be no Fan Appreciation Day at the Colonial Life Arena for the second straight summer.
“I have enjoyed meeting our great fans during the #WelcomeHomeTour,” Beamer said in a release. “While I would like our fans to get to meet our team, the concerns with the virus does not allow us to do that. I am hopeful that we can make these events happen before next season.”
USC will hold a media today for Beamer, his assistant coaches and players on Thursday. Their first practice will be Friday morning at 9:40 AM.
