Key notes on the Texas A&M Aggies; The Aggies were 9-1 last season with that only loss at Alabama in week two; they defeated North Carolina in the Orange Bowl 41-27 and finished 4th in the final polls; Jimbo Fisher is 26-10 in three seasons in College Station but has yet to win the West; there are 6 offensive starters return and 9 on defense; the Aggies averaged 32.6 points and gave up 21.7 points per game last season; 2nd year freshman Haynes King and Zach Calzada will compete to replace Kellen Mond at quarterback; leading rusher Isaiah Spiller returns after a season of 1036 yards, third most in the league last season; the Aggies open their season at home September 4th against Kent State, and will open SEC play against Arkansas in Arlington, TX on September 25th.
