Key notes on the Kentucky Wildcats: Mark Stoops is going into his 9th season at Kentucky, the second longest tenure in the SEC behind Nick Saban at Alabama; Stoops is 49-50 overall and 24-42 in the SEC at UK and has taken the team to four straight bowl games; the Wildcats were 5-6 last season including a win over NC State in the Gator Bowl; the Wildcats averaged 21.8 points per game and allowed 25.9 points per game last season; the Wildcats have a new OC in Liam Coen who coached the last three seasons in the NFL with the Rams; the Wildcats play five of their first six games at home; they open the season at home September 4th against ULM, and the SEC opener will be September 11th at home against Missouri.
