
Clemson head football coach Dabo Swinney met with in-person media for the first time in a while on Tuesday as part of the Tigers “Media Outing & Media Olympics” at the school’s football complex.
In his nearly hour long press gathering, Swinney covered a wide array of topics. He said that wide receiver Justyn Ross is recovering nicely from the neck injury that forced him to miss all of last year. Swinney also announced that quarterback Taisun Phommachanh, who went down with a torn achilles during Clemson’s spring game, could be back at some point this season. The veteran coach further clarified his previous comments regarding name, image, and likeness, while also offering opinions on the transfer portal and expansion of the college football playoffs.
