#STRecruiting Notebook July 7th (UPDATED)

USC made the top eight with four-star WR Jayden Gibson (6-6- 185) of Winter Garden, FL. The others on his short list are Auburn, Baylor, Florida State, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida and Miami. In June, he took an official visit to Miami and unofficial visits to USC, Florida, Florida State and Auburn.

Clemson is in the top 13 with 5-star 2023 CB AJ Harris (6-2 180) of Phenix City, AL. Others are Georgia, Virginia Tech, LSU, Auburn, Alabama, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, Ohio State, Southern Cal, Florida and Miami. He’s ranked the #2 CB nationally in his class.

USC made the top five with CB Tre’Quon Fegans of Alabaster, AL. He also has Alabama, Georgia, Miami and Oklahoma on his short list. He took an official visit to USC the last weekend of June.

USC target LB Mason Thomas of Fort Lauderdale committed to Iowa State.

USC offered 2023 OT Evan Link (6-5 270) of Washington, DC. He’s rated a three-star by 247Sports and is ranked the #25 offensive tackle nationally in his class. Some of his other offers are Stanford, Penn State, Boston College, Virginia Tech, Vanderbilt and Pitt.

Emerald DE Robby Harrison named a top 12 of Michigan, Georgia, Arizona State, Indiana, Minnesota, Kansas State, Tulane, Washington State, Charlotte, Georgia State, Arkansas State and Toledo.

P/PK Mack West of Rockingham, NC committed to Coastal Carolina for the 2021 class.

Former Socastee and Tennessee wide receiver Kenney Solomon is transferring to Tulsa.
