Only two more hot months of the summer left until the college football season kicks off. For USC, that means the official beginning of the Shane Beamer Era. Beamer has coached practices and the spring game, but there’s nothing quite like that first game for real.
And Beamer should have little trouble notching a win to open his Gamecock career. USC will host FCS Eastern Illinois on September 4th. The Panthers were 1-11 in 2019, and 1-5 for the 2020 season played this spring.
