USC running backs coach Montario Hardesty might take only one running back in this class, though he always has the option to take a second. Jaylon Glover of Lakeland, FL, who took an official visit June 11-13, appears to be his top target. A second would be Anthony Hankerson (5-9 190) of Ft. Lauderdale. He helped lead St. Thomas Aquinas to a state championship last season rushing for 1178 yards and 14 touchdowns. He was named the Broward County Offensive Player of the Year in 8A-6A.
Hankerson made an unofficial visit to USC last Friday where he met up with Hardesty and went thru a private workout for him.
“He was telling me how I would be a good fit for the program,” Hankerson said. “He likes the way I run the ball and catch the ball, and I’m a good fit for their offense. They are definitely one of my top choices, especially being that they are an SEC school I’ve been looking into the school for a while now. There are two STA (St. Thomas Aquinas) alumni (Jahmar Brown and Vincent Murphy) who already go to the school, so that’s even better.”
Hardesty was with Hankerson during most of his visit and showed him around the campus and the football facilities. Hankerson also went thru the prospect photo shoot. He did not meet with head coach Shane Beamer, so Hardesty laid things out for him.
“They were saying it’s me and another back,” Hankerson said. “The coach was saying he can two take running backs, but his goal is to take one. If he takes two, that would be a bonus. So, it’s between me and another running back.”
Hankerson visited UCF over the weekend and might visit USF this coming week. He’s also hearing a good bit from West Virginia. Some of his other reported offers are Florida, Michigan State, Georgia Tech, Memphis, Arizona and Western Kentucky.
Hankerson is rated a three-star and ranked the #35 nationally in the 247Sports Composite.

Sumter DE Davin Jackson (6-2 260) took an official visit to Syracuse over the weekend. “It was really good. I liked it a lot. It was my first time on a plane.” He will take an official visit to Coastal Carolina this weekend. Jackson camped at USC June 3rd and was offered soon after. He is returning to Columbia for a cookout July 31st. “I talk to (DL coach) Jimmy Lindsey on the phone a good bit, just talking about life and things like that.” Jackson also camped at Clemson early this month but the Tigers have not followed up with much interest. Some of his other offers are NC State, East Carolina, Kansas, West Virginia, Georgia Tech, Appalachian State and Tulane.
DE Robby Harrison (6-4 274) of Emerald camped at Georgia last week and left with an offer from the Bulldogs. “I was very excited. I really couldn’t say words.” Monday Harrison will camp at Georgia Tech. Harrison also camped at Clemson June 2nd but hasn’t heard from the Tigers since. Two days later he camped at USC for defensive line coach Jimmy Lindsey. “He told me it was very good camp and he liked what I showed him. He said he was going to follow me thru the season.” Harrison also has offers from Arizona State, Kansas State and Minnesota. He wants to make a decision in August.
WR Kylic Horton (6-4 180) of Clarendon Hall camped at Coastal Carolina Friday and also went on a tour of the school. He is planning to camp at Wake Forest Friday. Horton also has camped at USC and Virginia Tech, and he returned to USC for an unofficial visit. The Gamecocks offered him after seeing him in camp. “I’ve been talking to coach (Justin) Stepp and coach (Shane Beamer) a little bit. They are just telling me they want me there. I’m kind of undecided at this point, just enjoying the recruiting process at this point. It’s hard to say (on a favorite). If I had to say, probably USC.” USC, Virginia Tech and Coastal Carolina are his top three. Horton also is a basketball player and he said he’ll be tied up with his AAU team in July.
Four-star ATH Chris Graves (6-2 180) of Ft. Myers, FL confirmed Sunday night he will take an official visit to USC this coming weekend. “They are just excited to see me on campus, see me in person.” Graves has taken official visits to Miami and LSU and an unofficial visit to Florida. He plans to announce July 9th from the four schools he visited.
One-time USC commitment WR Da’Qon Stewart of Louisburg College, NC camped with the Gamecocks earlier this month hoping to generate another offer. He committed to the Will Muschamp staff out of high school for the 2020 class but was not signed in December of 2019 and later decommitted. He will get another chance to perform in front of Gamecock coaches, and others, this Saturday at the Charlotte mega-camp. Stewart said he’s in a position that if a school offers him now, he could enroll for this season, but he also has the option of returning to Louisburg and signing in December. Stewart is optimistic he’ll get a USC offer after he is scouted this weekend. “I would love to come back. I feel like I did good (in their camp). No drops. Nothing.” Eastern Michigan and Akron are his two offers.
Kansas transfer CB Karon Prunty (6-1 189), who was a freshman All-American with the Jayhawks last season, plans to make the call on his next school this week between USC and Tennessee. He visited both over the past week. Prunty told 247Sports Sunday after completing a visit to Tennessee that there was no favorite between the two and he was still working on his decision.
DE Ebenezer Bedada (6-4 238) of Alberta, Canada visited USC Saturday and worked out in the camp.
2023 QB Dylan Burk (6-6 220) of Round Rock, TX visited USC over the weekend.
USC target OT Ryan Brubaker of Stevens, PA took his official visit to Tennessee over the weekend. He also has taken officials to USC, Penn State and Stanford. He will visit Vanderbilt this weekend.
USC target WR CJ Smith of Orlando committed to Florida while on his visit over the weekend.
Clemson target ATH Jaren Kanak was at Alabama over the weekend.
Dutch Fork WR Antonio Williams, who has a USC offer and Clemson interest, was at Ole Miss over the weekend.
Clemson target DE Cyrus Moss visited Notre Dame over the weekend.
Clemson 2023 QB target Arch Manning was at Alabama this weekend.
Clemson offered 4-star 2023 WR Nathaniel Joseph (5-10 165) of Miami. He was in for a camp last week.
Official visits scheduled at this point for USC this weekend are TE Oscar Delp, DE Tomiwa Durojaiye, CB Tre’Quon Feagans, CB Chris Graves, SAF Anthony Rose, DT Nick James, DT Jamari Lyons, CB Nikai Martinez, CB Keenan Nelson and committed QB Braden Davis. The scheduled visitors are subject to change during the week.
Per Lou Bezjak of The State, 2023 6-8 GG Jackson of Ridge View will visit Duke and NC State Monday, USC Tuesday and North Carolina later in the week.
