USC baseball wraps up the regular season with a showdown series against SEC East leading Tennessee beginning Thursday at Founders Park. The university announced on Tuesday that capacity for the three-game set will be at 100%. The Gamecocks swept the Volunteers the last time the two teams met in Columbia back in 2018, along with claiming ten of the last twelve meetings in the series.

On Wednesday, USC head coach Mark Kingston was laser focused on the Gamecocks matchup with the Vols, following a 2-0 win over Appalachian State on Tuesday. During his media conference, the fourth year head coach stated that his pitching rotation (Jordan, Kerry, and Farr) will remain the same as it was during the three-game sweep at Kentucky last weekend. He also compared Wes Clarke’s home run prowess to a former Yankee great, discussed how much his team has persevered, and previewed this weekend’s showdown with Tennessee. ‘
