USC basketball coach Frank Martin had plenty to say when he joined us on SportsTalk Wednesday night. Among the most important items, Martin said he fully expects at this point for Jermaine Couisnard and Keyshawn Bryant to return to school June 1st. Both have put their names in the NBA Draft but have not signed with agents.
Martin said he will meet with Seventh Woods the middle of this month to discuss his future plans, which could include a return to USC. Martin said Woods health is very good now.
Martin stated that while he didn’t get everything he wanted in his contract extension in April, he’s happy with the contract and is anxious to fix the issues that beset his club last season. Most of those problems, Martin said, were the result of the Covid issues that hit him, and his team, hard.
