#Clemson drops series finale at NC State Sunday 9-5 (AUDIO)

Clemson fell short Sunday in its sweep attempt at NC State falling to the Wolfpack 9-5. The game was tied 5-5 going to the bottom of the 8th when NC State pushed across four runs, two on a single by Terrell Tatum and two unearned runs on a throwing error by Tigers second baseman Elijah Henderson.

Kier Meredith had four hits and two RBIs for Clemson, and Alex Urban had a pair of hits, including a solo homer.

Mat Clark started for Clemson and allowed three runs and four hits over 2.2 innings. Geoffrey Gilbert was the last of the three relievers and he took the loss to fall to 1-1 on the season.

The Tigers are 14-11 overall and 8-7 in the ACC. They are off until opening a three game series at home against Virginia Friday night.
