Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables took questions from the media in a Zoom session following Wednesday’s practice. It’s the first time Venables has talked with the media since prior to the blowout loss to Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl. Venables jokingly pointed out to his audience he hasn’t been hiding because of the beatdown his defense took that night in New Orleans. He said they had no setup for assistant coaches to be interviewed after that game, and this spring the coordinators were only going to speak once, and Tony Elliott got the earlier slot.
Also visiting with the media Wednesday night was receiver Justyn Ross, who missed all of last season with a congenital fusion condition of his neck and spine that required surgery, and fellow receiver and Phenix City, AL native EJ Williams.
