UPDATE: McCreary joins Hannibal as #Gamecocks in the Transfer Portal

USC guard Trae Hannibal is now in the NCAA Transfer Portal (Tracy Glantz)

6-9 rising junior forward Jalyn McCreary became the second USC basketball player to put his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal Tuesday night. Josh Kendall of The Athletic first reported the news of McCreary in the Portal. Earlier in the day rising junior guard Trae Hannibal was reported by VerbalCommits.com to be in the Portal

McCreary played in 44 games with the Gamecocks and averaged 4.5 points and 3 rebounds per game in his career.

Hannibal played in 46 games over two seasons with USC. The Hartsville native averaged 5 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists for his career. He shot 43% from the floor, 35% from three and 72% from the line.

Like all transfers, McCreary and Hannibal will be eligible to play next season. They also will have three years of eligibility since the NCAA is not counting this season against the players.

Three Gamecocks have now been reported as making a potential post-season move. Over the weekend forward Keyshawn Bryant revealed he plans to check into the NBA Draft for this summer but will not retain an agent thus leaving open the possibility of returning.
