USC will get the chance Sunday afternoon in Greenville to defend it’s SEC Tournament Championship crown after knocking off Tennessee Saturday night in the semi-finals 67-52. The Gamecocks will be playing for their 6th tournament championship in the last 7 years.

They will face #4 seed Georgia which upset top-seed Texas A&M 74-68. The Gamecocks defeated the Bulldogs by 12 in their regular season meeting in Columbia in January.

The Gamecocks, as they did in their quarterfinal round win over Alabama, buried Tennessee early jumping out to a 19-2 lead. They led by 14 at the half and never allowed the Vols to cut the lead below 13 in the second half.

The Gamecocks hit 7 three-pointers and 14 of 16 from the foul line. They forced 18 turnovers which they converted into 19 points.

Zia Cooke led USC with 17 points while Aliyah Boston had 15 points and 11 rebounds.
