Clemson head coach Brad Brownell addressed the media as part of an ACC Zoom call, Monday. Brownell took the opportunity to lay out his case that senior forward Aamir Simms merits strong consideration as a first-team All-ACC selection.
Brownell said, “He won’t have quite as many points as some guys in the league because we don’t play quite as fast, but his efficiency on offense and our winning needs to matter …. He’s a tremendous defensive player. He does a good job of guarding bigger guys and going out on the perimeter to guard smaller guys …. Incredibly smart and talented player.”
Brownell also previews the Tigers upcoming game at Syracuse and reflects on his team’s current hot streak. Clemson and Syracuse are scheduled to tip off at the Carrier Dome at 5 p.m., Wednesday.
