Monte Lee is set to open his sixth season as Clemson baseball coach this Friday against Cincinnati at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. Tuesday he announced his starting rotation for the opening weekend….righthander Davis Sharpe on Friday, freshman righty Ty Olenchuk on Saturday and freshman lefthander Caden Grice on Sunday.
Lee also said outfielder Sam Hall will be out several weeks with an undisclosed injury. The Tigers were already without starting catcher Adam Hackenberg with an arm injury.
Lee met with the media via Zoom Tuesday afternoon to preview the opening of the season.
