USC was supposed to play at Tennessee tonight, but because of a Covid issue at UT, the game was delayed until 9:00 PM Wednesday night. And Frank Martin said today starters Jermaine Couisnard (ankle) and Justin Minaya (head) will not travel with the team to Knoxville due to injuries suffered in Saturday’s loss to Ole Miss.
Combined the two average 18 points and 10 rebounds per game. Minaya is the team’s leading rebounder. That won’t help a Gamecock team reeling from seven losses in the last nine games. Martin said he won’t decide on a starting lineup until after shootaround on Wednesday.
Martin also said Tuesday he does not know yet about plans for the three postponed SEC games…at Kentucky, at Ole Miss and home against Tennessee.
Martin met with the media Tuesday afternoon to preview the matchup with the 19th ranked Vols.
