#STRecruiting Notebook 2-15

Ty Simpson

Clemson’s primary 2022 quarterback target Ty Simpson (6-1 170) of Martin, TN is set to announce his commitment Friday afternoon at 3:00 PM and will do so online via CBS Sports HQ.    Simpson is focused on the Tigers, Alabama Ole Miss and Tennessee.  Some of his other previous favorites, like Georgia, Texas and Texas A&M, have already taken 2022 quarterback commitments.  He also had Auburn, Florida, Ole Miss and his father’s team UT-Martin on his short list.  In interviews, Simpson has described Clemson as a “Disney World” based on the friendly feeling he has gotten there on visits. He plans to hold Zoom sessions with each of the four schools this week.

Clemson also has had a lot of interest in QB Cade Klubnik of Austin, TX, though the Tigers have not offered him. But Klubnik said Sunday night he does remain in contact with Clemson.

USC offered 4-star WR Peter Kikwata (6-1 170) of Germantown, MD.  Some of his other offers are Penn State, Vanderbilt, Pitt, Kentucky, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Florida State, Duke, Tennessee, Arkansas, Maryland, West Virginia, Miami, Auburn and Boston College.

USC offered 2024 DB Asaad Brown (6-1 174) of Portsmouth, VA.

USC and Clemson target TE Oscar Delp of Cumming, GA will drop a short list of 13 Monday afternoon. Both should make it.

Hammond OL Drew Bobo was offered by Charlotte.

DE Zac Zivitsky (6-1 215) of Southside Christian committed to Charleston Southern.
