
USC used a 7-0 third quarter run to break open a close game and went on to defeat Missouri 77-62 Thursday night at the Colonial Life Arena. The Gamecocks led 45-44 when Destanni Henderson scored seven straight points to push the lead to 52-44. That was all USC would need to secure its 27th straight SEC regular season victory.
Zia Cooke led the Gamecocks with 15 points. Aliyah Boston and Henderson each scored 11 points. Boston also grabbed 12 rebounds.
The Gamecocks are 16-2 overall and 11-0 in the SEC and will host LSU Sunday afternoon.
