Boston makes history in powering #Gamecocks past Georgia 62-50 (AUDIO)

Aliyah Boston recorded a triple-double in the win over Georgia (South Carolina Athletics)

USC forward Aliyah Boston recorded the program’s first ever triple-double in an SEC game Thursday night against Georgia with 16 points, 11 rebounds and 10 blocks leading the Gamecocks to a 62-50 victory. The victory is USC’s 22nd in a row in SEC play and improved their record to 11-1 overall and 6-0 in the league. It’s their 13th straight win over Georgia.

The Gamecocks led by 12 at halftime and used an 18-6 run in the third quarter to break open the game. USC forced 23 turnovers which were converted into 22 points.

Zia Cooke was the only other Gamecock in double figures with 16 points. USC shot just 35% from the floor and made just 2-11 three point shots.

The Gamecocks are back in action Sunday afternoon at LSU.

    They shot 35% from the floor and still smothered a ranked UGA team. If only are Men’s program could be half as good…
