Dante Anderson

USC has made the short list with DE Dante Anderson (6-3 205) of Homestead, FL. Anderson Monday named his top 15 schools and along with the Gamecocks he has on his list Indiana, Georgia Tech, LSU, Florida State, Ole Miss, Florida, Mississippi State, Tennessee, North Carolina, Miami, Arizona State, Penn State, Michigan State and Kentucky. In 6 games this past season, Anderson made 27 tackles with 10 sacks according to MaxPreps stats.

USC is one of the schools mentioned as having reached out to Texas Tech transfer shooting guard 6-4 Nimari Burnett. The freshman has played in 12 games this season averging 17 minutes and 5 points per game. Ryan McMullen of Zagsblog.com. reported some of the other schools to have contact are Arkansas, Oregon, Illinois, Vanderbilt, Alabama, Dayton, Missouri, Maryland, Wake Forest, DePaul, Marquette and Minnesota.

WR Jordan Mosley of Mobile, AL, who has been a USC target, decommitted from Tennessee. Mosley is rated a four-star prospect in the 247Sports Composite and is ranked the #52 receiver nationally in the 2021 class. This season he had 31 catches for 635 yards and 8 touchdowns.

Hilton Head 2022 LB Jaylen Sneed was offered by Notre Dame.

Clemson is in the top 12 with 2022 CB Daylen Everette of Norfolk, VA and IMG Academy in Florida. The others are Virginia Tech, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Oregon, Southern Cal, Alabama, Virginia, Oklahoma and North Carolina.  Everette is rated as a four-star prospect in the 247Sports Composite and is ranked the #8 cornerback nationally. 

Clemson is in top 11 with SAF Zion Branch (6-2 190)  of Las Vegas. The others on his short list are Oregon, Texas, Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Stanford, Southern Cal, Washington and Arizona State. Brach is rated as a four-star prospect in the 247Sports Composite and is ranked the #3 safety nationally. 

USC is in the top 15 with 2022 CB Avery Powell (5-10 170)  of Jersey City, NJ. The others on his list are Tennessee, Wisconsin, Cincinnati, Michigan, Penn State, Arkansas, Miami, Florida, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Boston College, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Mississippi State.  Powell is a three-star prospect and ranked the #46 corner nationally in the 247Sports Composite. 

Clemson offered 2022 CB Ryan Turner (6-0 180) of Hollywood, FL.  He’s rated a three-star prospect.  His other offers include Arkansas, Boston College, FIU, FAU, West Virginia, Pitt, Syracuse, Miami and Penn State. 

USC offered 2023 RB Drew Pickett (5-10 185) of Deatsville, AL. This season he rushed for 1352 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also has offers from Arkansas and Arkansas State. 

USC offered 2023 SAF DaKarri Nelson (6-3 195)  of Selma, AL. He also has offers from Mississippi State, Tennessee, Kansas, Georgia Tech and Duke.

  1. Maybe tennercee is just destined to continue to stink for several more years. As a Gamecock fan, I hope so. We are fighting to climb the same ladder. Also, they deserve any bad luck they get for ruining Marcus Lattimore’s career, whether it was on purpose or not.
