The Clemson basketball team opens its season Wednesday night in a two-day event in Melbourne, FL, the start of what will be one of the most challenging non-ACC slates compiled by coach Brad Brownell. The Tigers will open up against Mississippi State Wednesday night and will face either Purdue or Liberty the next night. Still to come before the turn of the year are non-league games against Maryland, Alabama and USC, plus ACC contests with Virginia Tech and Florida State. Brownell met with the media Monday afternoon and was happy to report all of his walking wounded are healthy, so he’ll have one of his deepest teams ready to hit the floor Wednesday night.
