#Clemson picked 10th in ACC Pre-Season poll, Simms 1st team All-ACC

Clemson forward Aamir Simms was named 1st team Pre-Season All-ACC

The ACC is holding a virtual basketball media day today, and in conjunction with that, the league announced the media’s Pre-Season ranking and All-ACC team. Clemson, which won 9 league games last season and finished 9th in the standings, was voted 10th, sandwiched between Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech. Virginia received 97 first place votes to outdistance Duke for the top spot. The Blue Devils received 34 first place votes. Florida State, North Carolina and Louisville complete the top five. Clemson senior forward Aamir Simms was voted onto the first team of the Pre-Season All-ACC team and received 5 votes for player of the year. North Carolina’s Garrison Brooks was voted the Player of the Year and Scottie Barnes of Florida State was voted the pre-season Freshman of the Year.
