Clemson has seen its hold on the #1 ranking in the AP poll slip as more voters used their first place votes on Alabama this week. They saw the Tigers struggle to beat Boston College last Saturday while the Crimson Tide was steamrolling Mississippi State. Of course, the only ranking that matters is the one produced by the CFP committee, and that first one will be produced on November 24th. So, Clemson has time to restore order in its world before then, starting with this Saturday night’s game at 4th ranked Notre Dame. It’s the game of the year in the ACC and the best matchup of the college season to date. The winner will be in the driver’s seat to win the ACC regular season championship. Earlier this week several Clemson players visited with the media via Zoom to preview the showdown.
