Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney addressed the media following practice, Wednesday. Swinney confirmed the Tigers defense will have to square off with the Notre Dame offense without starting defensive tackle Tyler Davis and linebackers Mike Jones, Jr. and James Skalski. Despite the injuries to notable players, including quarterback Trevor Lawrence, top-ranked Clemson remains a 5.5-point favorite over the 4th-ranked Irish.
Skalski and Lawrence will both make the trip to South Bend, Ind., to offer support and leadership. Swinney feels strongly Davis and Jones will make their return to the lineup against Florida State following the bye week.
Clemson and Notre Dame are scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff on NBC.
