In a game perfectly suited for the afternoon of Halloween, #1 ranked Clemson had the begeezus scared out of it by 24.5 point underdog Boston College. The Tigers trailed 28-10 in the second quarter and by 15 points at the half, then dominated the second half on their way to a narrow 34-28 victory. The win marked the greatest come from behind victory ever for Clemson at Death Valley. The game was filled will all kinds of crazy plays, strange bounces and lots of penalties (20 to be exact). Clemson freshman quarterback DJ Uiagalelei, starting for the Covid-19 infected Trevor Lawrence, who also has been ruled out for the Notre Dame game, more than filled the void passing for 342 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also had a 30 yard scoring run. And Travis Etienne, who became the ACC’s all-time leading rusher, scored the go-ahead touchdown with 11:34 to play. But ultimately, the game rested on the shoulders of the Clemson defense, and the Tigers were stout in the second half allowing the Eagles just 66 yards after being sliced and diced for 209 yards in the first half.
