Clemson didn’t have its best day performance-wise in the 26 point win over Syracuse Saturday, but the Tigers weren’t docked many points by the voters in the two Sunday polls. They are still the overwhelming #1 team in the AP and coaches’ rankings. Two AP voters switched from Clemson to Alabama with their #1 vote leaving the Tigers with 52 first place votes and Alabama with 10. Ohio State, which won its season opener Saturday, moved up two spots to third and is followed in the AP ranking by Notre Dame and Georgia. The coaches’ poll reflects the same top five. Coastal Carolina, which improved to 5-0 Saturday, moved up five in the AP ranking to #20 and three spots in the coaches’ ranking to #21.
