No matter that top ranked Clemson is 5-0 and Syracuse is 1-4. No matter that Clemson is coming off a 73-7 win over Georgia Tech and Syracuse is coming off a 38-21 loss to Liberty. No matter that Clemson has the nation’s top quarterback in Trevor Lawrence and Syracuse is forced to start backup Rex Culpepper due to an injury to starter Tommy DeVito. And no matter that Clemson is a 46.5 point favorite, making this Syracuse team the greatest underdog for a game in school history dating back to 1976. None of that matters to the Clemson players who have been reminded of the loss at Syracuse in 2017 and the close win at home in 2018.
