Clemson easily passes its first big test of the season Saturday night rolling past then seventh ranked Miami 42-17. It was a typical Clemson performance with domination on both sides of the line. The Tigers had 550 yards of total offense and limited Miami to just 210 yards. The Tigers averaged 6.2 yards per play to 3.9 for the Hurricanes. Trevor Lawrence passed for 292 yards and 3 touchdowns, and Travis Etienne rushed for 154 yards and 2 scores, and caught 8 passes for 73 yards. The Clemson defense turned in 5 sacks, 11 tackles for loss and 3 interceptions. In short, a complete performance.
