A win over 16th ranked Tennessee last Saturday night in Columbia would have done wonders for a USC football program which hasn’t tasted victory since November 2nd of last yaer. Now burdened with a four game losing streak, the Gamecocks have to build on the positives from their performance last week and try and play confidently against third-ranked Florida in the Swamp Saturday afternoon. The teams have split the last 10 meetings with Florida winning the last two. Two years ago the Gamecocks built a 31-14 lead only to see the Gators rally for a 35-31 victory. Last season Kyle Trask threw four touchdown passes as Florida overcame a 2017 deficit to win 38-27.
This week several Gamecock players reviewed the Tennessee loss and talked about the task ahead at Florida.
