Clemson offered 2021 WR Will Taylor (6-0 175) of Dutch Fork where he plays quarterback. Clemson receivers coach Tyler Gresham has been communicating with Taylor, who is already committed to Clemson for baseball as an outfielder. Taylor played at Ben Lippen in 2019 and as a dual-threat quarterback, he threw for 1647 yards rushed for 1550 yards with 25 total touchdowns. He did not get to play high school baseball last season due to the virus. As a sophomore at Ben Lippen, Taylor batted .432 with 24 RBIs. Taylor has said if it comes down to playing just one sport, he’ll go with the one where he feels he’ll have the greatest impact.
Gaffney DT Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins apparently has made his decision and will be releasing a commitment date soon. He made his choice from a final group of USC, Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina.
DT Luther McCoy of Saint Augustine, FL, who had USC in his top five, has cut his list to Minnesota, Baylor and Georgia Tech.
Clemson target 2022 QB Braden Davis of Clermont, FL was offered by Duke.
One-time USC target LB Jabril McNeill of Raleigh committed to Oregon. He also considered NC State where his brother is a defensive tackle.
USC offered 2022 4-star DE Dani Dennis-Sutton (6-5 250) of Owings Mills, MD. Alabama, Michigan, Tennessee, Oklahoma and Penn State.
2022 RB CJ Stokes of Hammond was offered by Minnesota. He also has an offer from USC.
2022 WR Zavier Short of Chapin was offered by Wake Forest. He also has offers from Coastal Carolina, Marshall and Old Dominion.
USC and Clemson are in the top 13 with 2022 5-star DT Travis Shaw of Greensboro, NC. The others to make his first cut were Oregon, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Florida State, Auburn and LSU.
Latta native FS Deonte Stanley (6-2 193), now in the 2021 class at Hutchinson JC, KS was offered by East Carolina. He committed to UCF in high school but needed some time in junior college. He redshirted last season.
USC offered 2023 WR Ike Daniels (5-10 185) of Stafford, VA and 2023 CB Makari Vickers (6-1 180) of Tallahassee.
USC target 6-9 Jalen DeLoach of Atlanta was offered by Kansas State.
7-0 Jonas Aidoo of Charlotte, who has Clemson and USC among his offers, was offered by Wake Forest and Georgia.
2022 6-1 Jazian Gortman of Keenan was offered by Coastal Carolina.
USC baseball landed a commitment from 2022 SS Will Tippett of Stone Mountain, GA according to John Whittle of TheBigSpur.
