Clemson secured its spot atop the two major polls with the win over Wake Forest Saturday, but behind the Tigers, a lot of movement. Alabama, which doesn’t play its first game until September 26th, moved from 3rd to 2nd in both polls. Oklahoma is now 3rd in each, improving three and two spots respectively in the coaches and media rankings. Georgia remained 4th in both polls while the coaches ranked LSU 5th and the writers put Florida in that spot. USC and Coastal Carolina received votes by the coaches but not enough to crack the top 25.
