After all the Covid-19, after all the social justice, Clemson showed Saturday night in Winston-Salem why it is, after all, the #1 team in the country. Led by Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne, the Tigers ran thru, around and over out-matched Wake Forest 37-13 for their 12th straight win over the Demon Deacons. Lawrence opened his final season with the Tigers passing for 351 yards and a touchdown. He completed 22-28 and had a QB rating of 195.7. He also had two short touchdown runs. And Etienne rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries. The Tigers also got three field goals from BT Potter, including a career-long tying 52 yarder.
