It’s game week for Clemson and the Tigers are getting ready to open the season at Wake Forest. The top-ranked Tigers are favored by 33 points to beat the Demon Deacons for the 12th straight time, and the 6th straight time in Winston-Salem. The average score during the 11 game Clemson winning streak is 40-11, and the last two seasons Clemson outscored Wake 115-6. But, it a new season and the job of the Clemson staff is to wipe the slate clean and have their players approach every opponent with respect.
Monday, offensive coordinator Tony Elliott and defensive coordinator Brent Venables gave the Demon Deacons plenty of respect in previewing the game during Zoom sessions with the media.
