USC target TE Michael Trigg of Lake Wales, FL and Clemson targets OL Tristan Leigh of Fairfax, VA and DE Korey Foreman of Corona, CA were among the prospects to visit LSU over the weekend on their own accord. The NCAA dead period is in place thru at least the end of this month, and might be extended. That is preventing recruits from making official or unofficial visits to campuses, visits when the coaches can interact. But what took place in recent weeks at Oklahoma, Georgia and LSU were weekend visits organized by a top recruit at each school, specifically, the five-star quarterback. The players and family members who attended did so on their own dime and supposedly without in-person contact with football staff members. To this point, USC and Clemson have eschewed these gatherings. Asked to comment Sunday night as to whether he thought these visits were ethical, and if so, if he wanted to see them at his place, Will Muschamp replied with a direct, “Absolutely no comment.” After a pause, Muschamp continued with, “I’ll get in trouble if I comment on that one.”
