The wait for live football in South Carolina is over. Friday night, all across the state, there will be high school football games played. SCISA will kick off its season with guidelines in place it hopes will protect teams and fans from the Covid-19 virus. The private schools have been practicing for two weeks and are getting a jump start on the public schools. The SCHSL has set September 8th for the first practice date and September 25th for the first games.

Earlier this week Hammond School coach Erik Kimrey joined us on SportsTalk and explained how his school has been handling the return to football, and how he SCISA plans can work for this season.
