Then after a day off on Sunday, the Gamecocks will don the full pads for the first time Monday. “Good physicality of work – I really loved our competitive edge,” Muschamp said in a statement following the practice. “We ended it with a good third-down period competing against each other. That was really good for our players. We’ve got to continue. We’ve got a long way to go. We’re seeing some guys flash here and there, which we need to have some guys continue to flash.”

Muschamp also announced four players have gone on scholarship….transfer wide receiver Jalen Brooks, transfer fullback Adam Prentice, and freshmen recruits placekicker Mitch Jeter and punter Kai Kroeger.

There was no direct media availability with the players after practice today, but Assistant AD for Athletics Communications and Public Relations Steve Fink interviewed cornerback Israel Mukuamu and offensive guard Sadarius Hutcherson. Muschamp’s next schedule media session is Wednesday.
