
USC knows its opening opponent to the football season. The SEC announced Monday afternoon the September 26th season opening matchups, and Tennessee will visit Columbia in one of those games. The other first week pairings will be Alabama at Missouri, Florida at Ole Miss, Georgia at Arkansas, Kentucky at Auburn, Mississippi State at LSU and Vanderbilt at Texas A&M. The SEC released the full conference schedule after Muschamp’s press conference had concluded.
The Gamecocks will begin their fall camp Monday building toward that season opener against the Vols. Monday afternoon coach Will Muschamp held a Zoom session with the media to preview the start of camp and answer a variety of questions about his team and living with Covid-19.
The Gamecocks will face some stiff competition, including the defending national champion LSU Tigers, in the first five games before hitting the bye week on Oct. 31st. The Gamecocks full schedule:
