Will Muschamp previews start of #Gamecocks football camp (VIDEO)

USC had planned to open fall camp Friday but the new SEC scheduling pushed that back until August 17th. Still, USC head coach Will Muschamp and his staff are prepared and raring to go. Muschamp met for about an hour Wednesday on a Zoom call with the media and discussed practically every about his program and the circumstances of Covid-19.

The biggest news to come out of the conference was two offensive linemen, Mark Fox and Jordan Rhodes, have opted out for this season. Also linebacker Ernest Jones had an appendectomy recently but will be fine according to Muschamp. Four other players are recovering from off-season medical work and will be good to go in a few weeks according to Muschamp.

Muschamp also said transfer quarterback Collin Hill is full go after coming off knee surgery and will compete for the starting job. Hill’s good health led to freshman quarterback Luke Doty spending time with receivers in recent weeks. Muschamp said Doty just wants to play and they want to find a way to us his talents.
