USC AD Ray Tanner Friday morning held a Zoom conference meeting with the media and made it clear he and University President Robert Caslen did all they could in working with the SEC to ensure the Palmetto Bowl would be played this season. In the end, it wasn’t nearly enough. Caslen’s reportedly was the only vote in favor of a plus one format that would have allowed for one non-conference game. Instead, the SEC will play 10 conference games beginning September 26th, and the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta December 19th.
